You know what they say...........the first 38 years of parenthood are the worst...........

..............after then it gets a little better but trouble is you don't notice it because of the alcohol intake......

.....I have 5 kids 21, 18, 14, 8, 4

.......they are eventually falling off the other end of the conveyer belt !!!!!

Like stacking up glasses to make towers.....and I get there just before the 2 foot tall tower is spotted by the 20 month old demolition expert...................

One minute they play so nicely, then the next its like a rugby scrum with the puppy and the 20 month old somewhere in the middle. I want a Tazer gun, a cattle prod - something! I resort to afternoon baths, lots of toys, bubbles and towels. When is it my turn?

Oh! the noise! The bickering! The *why is my sock wet?* as they have walked all the way over the room to show you, wet footprints everywhere! The door bell goes, I am in no mood to make *nice*, and those kids like a herd run towards the door to see who it is.............can I not ignore the door even??

I am ready for a dark room and a mudslide of the Vodka kind.................

Hey! Thanks for reminding us why we chose NOT to have kids !

Assuming the kids are getting towards 10 years old I can tell you than in another 2-3 years and it will be you who will be trying to get them to get out of bed!

Both ends of it here a 7 year old and then young adults so we just send the 7 year old to wake up the older brothers and sister ;) works like a charm

Parents revenge! I like it . I would even consider fathering another child  if and only if I were convinced that our 20 and 18 year old would stick around to be pestered.

It keeps me happy till i get my own back when i am old by throwing a tantrum or something when i don't get my own way.

I can't wait for this when my two hit that 'can't-wake-up' teenager status. I'm going to bounce into their rooms at 6.15, jump on their beds and poke them with my elbows and cold feet. I'm going to then say repeatedly "Is it time to get up yet? Is it time to get up yet?" while playing with the clock radio, opening the curtains and rattling a large box of lego bits :rofl:
