As Oakviallian said Scotland would need to have its own treasury and bank and currency, etc and i agree the Euro would be a disaster, its been a disaster for everyone else, Scotland would be no different.
Yes you have hit the nail on the head, this is why independence is a bad idea, Salmond hasnt thought it through or planned anything, and it doesnt stop there, how about armed forces, border control, trade agreements with other countries . Scotland becoming its own country is a HUGE undertaking, one that really should stay as a pipe dream, the more i think about it, the more im convinced that Salmond is on the same path as Rob Ford and is smoking funny things! The man is delusional.

Surely if Scots want to keep Sterling as their currency then independence isn't what you want at all, it is just a greater devolution of power.
Yes Scotland has 'put in' to the Union, but the 'privileges' are paid out to Union members. I wouldn't expect to still be paid a dividend after selling my shares.. I am no longer a shareholder.

from friendly banter, scuffles in the forces, coloquial jokes, mature and maturing
Friendships.
Stereotyping can become an uncomfortable word, especially when reading or listening over their own type and what they themselves perceive.
My youth started like many English youth, having relations from one or all neighbouring exotic lands, having older working acqaintances from shop floor, or office, or starting out when establishing your first cliques, and pubmates and even as Teammates in ones chosen sport.
My dad, uncles, and myself through engineering, and mining met their scottish mates
either through their forces friendships during the war, or later like me through Corby
Industries.Leicestershire, Northamptonshire became the home of many Scots.
Working and travelling abroad and to the far corners of the world , Scots and Irish have been prominent, in both my male and female friends.
Has I have spent sometime in a cellar and behind a bar its amazing what you discover
over your fellow humans, especially traits and characterisics selected to be given to
The English, The Scot, The Irish, The Welsh.
We all have our dry wit and humour, the Irish and Welsh enjoy the craic,
We all cant half go on a bit and moan, then roll around laughing immediately afterwards.
I'VE NEVER MET an Irish or Welsh who complain about their lot.
I'v met many English and Scots who love to complain and lay blame elswhere,
then Ive seen and witnessed these same types jumping into situations to help
their fellowman.
IMO we are a mixed bunch who enjoy our individuality and single belonging,
but still are proud of being Brit.
There the comercial is now over, so you lovely lads n lassies vote , and let your wishes
come true.....and because I like stereo, dont you dare come back and start complaining. Guid nicht, buid stai wi is

I think you meant wealthiest. The north sea revenues go into a seperate fund at the treasury,Scotland gets a share but independent Norway benefits from all of it.
The problem with Greece is tax evasion $20 billion per year, nobody wanted to pay their taxes!Just crazy, cant see it happening in Scotland.
Im not expecting a utopia ,I know it will be a bumpy ride but we have had these social problems for decades .The scottish government have made some improvements and yes it will take time.

Apparently http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotlan...itics-26163637 it would be a no-no to using the pound.

well yes, of course Scotland could continue to use the pound sterling as a currency instrument. In much the same way as states such as Panama or the Marshall Islands do with the US dollar. Nothing says "hey, we're independent" so much as pegging the Scottish pound at 1:1 with the rest-of-UK's pound, therefore abrogating all control of and responsibility for inflation, international exchange rates, balance of trade, or control of monetary policy in pursuit of economic stability. Way to go, Scotland.
