A friend of mine use to be a cop in Liverpool. He had his car stolen.

So far I haven't seen a good argument for going.

I'd move to Wigan, good access to motorway network, close to Wales, Lake District & Yorkshire Moors, Fantastic place...................It just so happens that I have a 3 bedroom semi for sale at a reasonable price;)

Hmmmm. So what to believe. What to believe...

Really though, if I wanted the option to leave my car on the street and still own one in the morning or walk the streets of downtown and feel safe, or go to the store and have the group of teen hanging out open the door for me, or have a school where the kids won't get put down by the teacher, or or or... where would I go?

But whats wrong with Leeds? It seemed like a nice place and was my favorite of all those we visited. The first place we were asked if we were American. At a place called The Flying Pizza.

What kind of son in law (or two) will I get?

As far as the accent goes, I'm sure we didn't invent it. It must have come from somewhere. Do we sound like the English of hundreds of years ago? Not that anyones old enough to remember. I hope ;)

We live near Leeds and I have worked there for 10 years. I really like Leeds, its a great city (although traffic could be better!). Second finanical city, victorian splendor, fab shopping, a bit of back to back grit, near the dales, the north york moors. Flying pizza- do you still have to park your very loud cars outside?

Second financial city? HAAA!

I think it's actually fourth.

It's still not very nice.. Just outside the city centre you enter areas lined with red brick terrace houses, white goods on the front lawns and rusting cars on the streets..

What's that? The smell of ready meals, rising damp and fags? Must be council housing!

I remember driving through that.

But even in Calgary there are places I wouldn't get out of my car.

You say "that" as though it's one area or one street...

It's 360 degrees around Leeds haha..

(There are some really nice areas though, and some really expensive areas too)

Such as parts of West Park, Woodlesford, Rothwell etc...
