We moved to Calgary in December 2005 and it is awsome here, there is an oil boom in Alberta and not enough people to do the jobs, companies with full order books are closing because they cannot get the staff, everywhere in the city has signs out saying hiring.
The way of life is perfect.

Whenever you ask for an opinion on ANYTHING you'll get a proportion of people say it's the bees knees, a proportion of people who say it's terrible, don't touch it with a barge pole, and a proportion of people in between.
If the "Canada Sucks" brigade form their own club and make a web-site and post to eachother there, the content is hardly surprising now, is it!
I was just researching washing machines online. I found one that looked good value, with all the things we wanted at a reasonable price. I checked out the reviews on it, as it had "4.7 stars". Of around ten-twelve (didn't count) people who posted a review, all except one gave it 5 stars out of 5. The one other person struggled to give it one star, as the machine she had bought didn't work from day one, and she had problems trying to return it. In a long rant she had nothing good to say about the machine, the manufacturers, nor the store where she purchased it. Does that make it a bad machine?
