Default How do you have your Marmite - or not ;)

Gourmet style like this?
Spoiler:

(it's actually Vegemite in a posh place in Australia)

I've taken a leaf out of Alan2005's book, on toast with an egg on top.

I'm glad that's Vegemite (horrible stuff) in the picture, otherwise if it was the real product then we'll be bordering on blasphemy!

Marmite with cheese, under scrambled eggs or grilled tomatoes, on its own of course...

One of the things I love about this site -

The constant recurrence of Marmite & Father Ted!

Try adding a big spoonfull to al bread dough, white or wholemeal, adds a definite something good.

Tried vegemite, i can understand why it exists, for people who cant handle the truth.

Why oh why did I read this post...I am now obsessing about toast and Marmite and I can't go home till 4.30!

Vegemite in an abomination!

I like it with cheese in a sandwich or under grilled cheese on toast In summer when there are 'proper' tomatoes around it's lovely in a tomato baguette.

Marmite butter (because it spreads better when you mix it in first) on a slightly warm piece of toast, topped with a slice of ham and a poached egg. If the toast is too warm all the butter melts in, if it's too cold the ham ends up insulating the butter from the egg so none of it melts. It has to be just right... The perfect 5-minute lunch.

I have Marmite on toast for breakfast every morning.

I like the idea of grilled cheese and Marmite. Will have to try that.

ETA: Just had some visitors from the UK so now have about 6 months' supply of Marmite.
