NB is the same as anywhere with the people can earn more in the private sector so one needs to pay well to attract the best mantra. There is the pension to consider as well, of course. Take a break from lawyering for a couple of years and no matter how effective you have been as an MLA that's your pension sorted. Perhaps they're not quite as backward as you would have us believe. |

I have no idea. Googling shows The base salary for New Brunswick MLAs is $85,000. Cabinet ministers currently earn an additional $52,614, and the premier getting another $79,000.
