Made for a horrible drive through mountain highways though, the Sea to Sky was a complete mess on Saturday. Fresh new snow is a double edged sword. Attracts lots of skiers, but most can't or don't know how to drive in the weather and end up sliding off the roads.

the weather gadget on my PC says it's -29C in Vegreville but has a "feels like" -36C in the small print.

Its a brisk -4 right now according to my thermometer.

We're -26 with windchill.

Unfortunately we're now at the point where anything warmer brings snow.

Can't complain though. We've got away with it so far.

It's even chilly here. I had to cover up my tomato plants last night because there was a frost warning. It got down to 4 C ! It was only 17C today which is way below normal.

-2 at the moment, appears to be the last day of cold weather in the forecast for the next week or so, tomorrow forecast +3 and warming up through the weekend up to +10 next week. But who knows what will happen.

Yesterday it was tear streaming brass monkeys.
Today it appear to be a chinook. So T Shirt weather.

4 degrees Celsius in Vancouver. The rest of the week looks like it'll be 6, 7, 8, 9 degrees with rain in the forecast most days. A fairly typical Vancouver January.

-1 here in Whistler at the village level.

+3 58km south of here in Squamish.

Glad I am off tomorrow, Whistler is supposed to get 30cm of snow between today and tomorrow with most falling tomorrow.

The highway will be a cluster if it snows that much. Need to ban rental cars from it in winter, tourists can take buses.
