Housewarming food ideas.

Having a house warming party on 29th August, need some food ideas, looking for the quick and easy variety.....

Party is at 8pm so it's buffet nibbles/snacks/appetizers etc.

Best suggestions get an invite!

A very quick and tasty nibble I make is:
  • 1 French stick cut into 1 inch slices
  • Mix together grated med/strong cheese with a couple of tablespoons of mayo and 1-2 chopped spring onions (green onions here)
  • Top the bread with the cheesy mix and bake in oven for about 8-10 minutes

Buy a nice large shrimp ring and throw away the seafood sauce it comes with (because it's barrfff) and use a sweet chilli dipping sauce instead. :)

Also, see M&M online, huge choice of savoury nibbles :)

Well obviously the canadian crackers, cheese and salami, put out a couple of caesar salads, the crab thingy above is good too, can also put the concotion into some mushrooms.

ummmmm

Coors Light, Bud, Bud Light Lime, Tangle Ridge, Rum, Vodka, oh and some pepsi might help too.

LOL, it's a BYOB.....So all I have to worry about is the food!

Thanks for the offer of a pie, but I have heard and seen the results of your cooking. Blueberry vodka sounds good? Party is a week on Saturday, so hopefully all these silly tornadoes will have buggered off.

Call the local deli and get them to do a large cold cut meat and cheese platter. Chuck on a few bunches of cherry tomatoes and some various olives and pick it up an hour before your party. Sorted. :)
