I have taken a look and replied by pm to the op, but thought I would reply on here too, just incase others come across the same thing I think the problem here is that the water damage was not as a result of a sudden aperture or opening being created see page 8 section 22, B, E The vacancy issue is not a problem, vacant means left house with no intention of coming back, so this wouldn't apply in your claim I believe they are denying the claim for the above( they should confirm in writing, if so I am not sure you can go anywhere, from your post it sounds like the water just seeped through the skylight in the storm If something is blown off the house causing a hole and water gets in, ie shingles, then this would be covered Sorry for not better news! To be honest the above exclusion is in 90 percent of policies |
