Default Hiking the Rockies

Okay so I'll not do it all in one day

Can anyone recommend a hiking book? I know there are tons out there, I'm looking for one that does easy to moderate hikes - y'know half day jobs with maybe some harder full day hikes as we do more, just wondered if anyone had managed to buy one that was easy to use and had lots of info, I don't want to end up spending $100 on books to find one good one

Thank very much

Can't reccomend any books due to the fact that hiking isn't really a word in my vocab - hope you find something though and have a good time doing it

Rather than using a book, I tend to use the website www.trailpeak.com -done quite a few hikes from there now. Just print off the relevant details and off we go.

Hmm, websites are a good idea, but then you need a printer that either works or that has ink in it - ours seem to very rarely have those properties, we seem to buy printers that use the most expensive ink in the land

This little book is chock-full of great short walks, well-described with lots of interesting info and is smakk enough to easily come with you on your walks.

Two thumbs up from me!

Meant to add - if you come as far as Mt Robson, let us know - you can come over for a tortoise-petting session

Ahhh, this could be a fabulous excuse to actually get away for a couple of days and swing by yours at the same time. Hmm, I'll start working on OH - you know how that goes, the power of suggestion until they think it's all their idea in the 1st place
