"HELP" Need twiglets !!!!!!

Ok, so we have been here three years now, and we still have not found anywhere that sells twiglets. Wifey will kill for them now, (No she is not pregnant),. Has anybody seen any ?. Please help somebody, I am not sure if gun cabinet will stand up to a raging wifey. Oh well if the worst comes to the worst we could start a battered husbands thread.:confused:

The prairies are pretty large.

It would help immensely if you told us where you are.

I have a friend that was addicted to twiglets but now she manages with a snack called Bits and Bites. They are a mixture of a twiglet type thing with savoury cheerios, wheat squares and tiny cheese crackers. The downside is that they also contain monosodium glutamate.

There is a company that supplies abroad from the UK called

www.britishcornershop.co.uk

Don't really know all that much about them but as my husband is in the Army, I know that a lot of families living in Germany and Cyprus use this company for a little touch of home. Think you have to order quite a lot to make the shipping cost worthwhile though.....

Wouldn't give anyone the time of day for Twiglets myself....... more of a tomato ketchup crisp girl

The Raging Brit has them from time to time, a new shipment is due next week.

www.ragingbrit.com

They will mail anywhere in Canada.

Full disclosure: Operated by my Wife and 3 of the Kids.

Thanks Steve, How about North of Austin, South of Gladstone and 2 1/2 hours from the peg, Does that narrow it down for you ? I live out in the boonies. Its is only the fact that I have a british education and a military upbringing that actually differentiates me from the locals, that strangely look like each other mmmmm, those long cold winter nights just fly by out here, it reminds me of the song by Kevin Bloody Wilson, "Dont touch your sister, 'she's Mine", Have a great day Steve.

As a matter fact it does. :sneaky:

There would have been no point in me suggesting a side trip to Calgary to any of the "British Shops" here.

Have a nice life. :p

I feel your pain! I've been here for over 25 years, and I still pine for Caramac and good pork scratchings of all things! My brothers and sisters know this now, so guess what I get for my birthday? and Christmas! LOL

:cool:Thanx all for your help, have relatives coming over 28th July and will be heading to the Peg to pick them up. We have an Englishman running a local store in Austin (a bit like open all hours) and we have heard of a very British style butchers that makes hand raised pork pies and black pudding just west of Brandon. Very interested about the english shops in Calgary though, will be going to the Stampede next year. Cheers all.:beer:
