We did our baby's Canadian passport in February and it's valid 5 years.

Yeah no registration for UK descent children born in Canada. Canadian citizenship is automatic by birth. All you need to do for the UK passport and the Cdn one is apply for them. Make sure when you are taking photos for Cdn passport get them to print them for UK and Cdn specs, so if the photos work for the babies Cdn passport you can use the UK spec ones for his/her UK passport. :)
