Have you ever been on the telly??

Hubby once on "Songs of Praise" - hilarious, he's an atheist but was serving in the Military at the time.

Me twice since we've moved to Ottawa. Once for local news about "learning to skate" how embarrassing was that in my helmet, looked a right sap and once stopped outside a shop for "what was I going to do with the extra hour the clocks gave me when they turned back!" - course I had no idea the clocks were going back in the first place so I was a little surprised and gave some stupid answer like spending more time with my hubby.

Just wondered anyone else out there been on the TV in their lifetime, even better if they have a link to Youtube to prove it.:thumbsup:

Every Christmas.... The Belleville parade is always covered by Cogeco, the local cable supplier, so I guess the back of my head is seen by oh, dozens of avid viewers...mostly other parade participants looking for themselves I expect:D

A few of us went on the worlds biggest ghost hunt at Tutbury Castle, for one of those Most Haunted Halloween Special shows.

We were waiting in the line up to get into Mary Queen of Scots room as the camera panned by us.

Bit shit really

Nothing in Canada, but in the UK and the US I've been interviewed a few times on the news for my utterly useless opinion on certain topics relating to my work. Also a few times they've put some of our conference debates on those local cable channels that nobody watches. So pretty shit as well.

I often wondered why people have film crews document their first year in such programmes as "a new life abroad" etc., my god if I was recorded on what I said in the first year I'd have been hunted down and shot! Can't think why anyone would want such invasion of privacy and to be judged by all. Far better sticking to BE where nobody really knows you hey?

But there must be someone out there surely????? other than the back of Iain's bobble hat at Xmas:confused:

I'd just crossed the finish line of the Bolton marathon when an attractive young lady asked me "How are you feeling?"

"I'm ****ing knackered" I replied, "How about you?".

Then I noticed she was holding a microphone and to her right was a guy with a TV camera.

Been in the audience of live shows on BBC Scotland a few times - not good to mix booze with live TV! Also when I loved to London done the same thing at BBC Centre where Alan Carr called me something rather mean. :(
Also, since being in Toronto I've been asked a dumb quiz questions by Rogers TV.
Oh, I'd love to be on the cash cab though.

Twice, both times on the news

The first time the Queen Ma arrived at our school in the regal helicopter. We were lined up outside and told to shout "Hurrah". Not Hurray as this was common. TV cameras recorded said event, schoolgirls shouting hurrah, except this one was seen chewing gum on national TV. I was given a disorder mark for that, it may even have been detention.

The second time was picketing outside a hospital when we were on strike back in neolithic times.

You can see the back of me on a 1998 X files episode - the one with the small supermarket (which was Shop Easy on Shaughnessy in Port Coquitlam) and the possessed doll, called Chinga (season 5). There is a shot of Gillian Anderson driving into the parking lot. A woman in the right of the screen, leaving a pie shop is walking down the street, with a grey jacket on. That's me. :o
