Bold: Nah, there are a numbers of reasons why teachers think they are walking on egg shells, and this barely makes the list. How about the following:
1. Parents blaming teachers that their kids aren't doing well
2. Having a go at teachers for a note that was sent home about kid's behaviour
3. Parents having a go at the school for proposing school uniform
4. et al

Just needed to add a little something 
Still in UK at the moment (sob sob) Soon to hit Calgary 2014
but here's the thing. Most if not all of our schools now are NOT, I say NOT permitted to hold the traditional nativity for the kiddies to enact. According to a conversation I had with a teacher recently its to do with not being seen to be taking into consideration ALL religions 
So they are acting out scenes from films such as Oliver for example ! UK now a multi race country
Its all gone PC mad !

Now? Don't know where you are in the UK, but I think you will find that most cities have "been multi race" for donkeys
