St. George's Day never gets celebrated properly in England, so I can't imagine there is a huge party over t'pond.

That's what will happen when one country is entitled to a 2 year visa up until the age of 35 lol funnily enough you don't mention any Australians though...

I'll have fun when I get out there. At the moment it's just constant stress and organising :)

Glad it's going well though!

I only just realised it was St. Georges Day. How sad.

Does anyone know the hoistory as to why this holiday is so overlooked, yet everyone the world over celebrates St. Patty's?

Perhaps because the English are not as patriotic as others and use it as an excuse to go out and get pissed out of their heads like others do as the English do it every weekend
Is it even a national holiday? No its not.
Canada[edit]
Canada St. George's Day is celebrated on 23 April. St. George's Day is not an official national holiday in Canada. It is, however, a provincial holiday in Newfoundland, where it is usually observed on the Monday nearest 23 April.

See the Newfies have got it right
