Re: Happy New Year
Hope you all had a good one! Did anyone actually 'do' anything? I was trying to get some friends who were home alone to join me in a FB room or on Zoom for a video chat/virtual NY Eve party - but got no takers (they are all suffering from Covid Hair so didn't want to do video, lol!)
I had my baileys (after a wine).. sent a couple of texts and that was NY done!

Re: Happy New Year
Did my usual Fireworks highlights for those countries that had midnight ahead of us and then later in the evening I had my "Friday Night" whisky and sprite with stilton and sour cream and onion pringles (always a great match) while watching a Danish TV show.
It's been a long time since I saw the new year in. Either I got too old or it stopped being fun.
I remember the last new year's night out in Bristol, me and my mate were walking home and as we neared Temple Meads, we heard a funny noise, looked around and there was a Robin Reliant in the road tipped up. What seemed like 6 or 7 people got out laughing and ran off.
That was the 'highlight' of what had become more of a chore.

Tried to stay up. Lasted to 11.30. Which is a record for recent years (decades). Any resolutions? Seems too depressing to go fo my usual repeated failures. I need a cheerful resolution.

How about a resolution to do one nice thing for yourself every week.. make yourself the most important thing for a few hours!
