Thanks all; I didn't do anything special for my birthday on Wednesday, worked a short day, had my free beer at the Serbian and Hungarian Club, chicken wings for supper. Apparently old age pension should start arriving in my account in a month or 2, so that will be nice. Without a company pension I suppose it's a case of working until I drop, like the horse in Animal Farm. That isn't so bad; there are people all over the world wishing they had the same opportunity. :)

Belated Happy Birthday Caretaker and welcome to the OAP club. Looks like we have a birthday in common. I just received a card from my mother that relates not for the first time that I was born in a thunderstorm when Lynmouth, Devon, was flooded and caused loss of life. Not sure what significance to place on this.
And yes, keep working, don't stagnate.
