Re: Halloween...how many did you have?
Within 45 mins we had given out over 100 packets of sweets . Had to put a sign on the door that we had run out.
We live in Forces Married Quarters so there are children in nearly every house round here but I noticed alot of children being brought in cars from other areas.

We decided to go to our rural location - halloween is really stressful for the dog, so we thought we'd go to the village instead of staying in town. We took some candy to hand out 'just in case'. Bearing in mind that our house was empty for over a year before we bought it and we are not there all the time AND we are right at the end of the road, we didn't think we'd be busy. HAH! How wrong We got through more candy than we do in town, I even ended up giving out some skeletons we had left over from a previous costume. Oh well, met lots of the neighbours - not that I'd recognise any of them

Just over 100 -- fewer than years past, when we could expect well over 300,perhaps the H1N1 threat had an impact. Not so many shipped in by mini-bus, SUV's etc. Weather was reasonably good too.

Probably about 80 and was expecting a lot more - This year it seems that the kids were all from our subdivision whereas other years we didnt recognise many

I was out with the kids, leaving OH and MIL to man the barricades at home. Judging by the amount of candy I brought into the office this morning, we probably had slightly fewer visitors than last year - around 70-80 instead of 100 or so.
We (me, 6-year-old, 3-year-old) visited around two dozen neighbours' houses before the little one had had enough and started complaining that her bag was too heavy to carry round.
Adopting the Canadian approach to hyphenation, we had a zombie-knight and a princess-witch accompanying us.

Last year we had well over 200, this year it was only around 140 - 150. I was wondering why the numbers were down too. Not that the candy will go to waste my husband will make sure of that.
