I bought a $5 produce box yesterday containing a head of Kissel's sour cabbage, thinking "haven't had cabbage rolls in awhile" and this morning saw hot Italian sausages on for $1 (got 4) so I have a plan... it isn't our old family holupchi recipe, but my expectations are good.

Noticed now IC delays customer orders unless your willing to pay an extra fee on top of the fees they already charge......

Do you mean the fee for within the hour delivery but free in the next two hours? Perhaps it looks different at my end from paying the monthly membership.

Before this new $4 priority fee, the regular delivery fee was delivery within 2 hours normally or within a specified time frame, today they wanted $4 priority fee to get a specified time frame, otherwise it was just within 7 hours and no time frame.

Just annoying they keep adding fees and provide a worse service, at least in this part of the world.

Guess it's better than people using Wal-Mart delivery on Wal-Mart website for $12.99 fee, then Wal Mart has IC deliver it, but those pick up only orders pay so poorly to the driver, nobody really takes them, good luck finding someone willing to drive 20-40km to delivery groceries for $8 :rofl:

Ah...it is different for me then.
There's a $3 fee for within the hour, free for a specified time slot and free for within two hours.

I can't imagine ever needing something within an hour that couldn't wait for up to two hours and might very well arrive within the hour anyway. :confused:

The furthest grocery store from me in Regina on Flashfood is 6km, two are 4km away, one is 1.3km and another is 1km. All the others are closer. If it isn't rush hour and you know what you're doing, you can almost drive anywhere in town in 15 minutes. It isn't unusual to sometimes check the fliers and hit 2 or 3 different stores for sale items.
Moncton is in on it, but they hardly have anything posted; a few produce boxes in Riverview but overall it's pretty bare.

I got some packs of half price T-Bone steaks today. Also some $10 3-sub packs for $5 and a big tray of tater wedges, bacon and cheese for $2.50 :thumbup:

Last week I tried a gourmet pulled chicken sandwich from Superstore (half price on flashfood). I'd seen them on there and always wondered... looks a lot better than it tastes. I ate half and binned the rest. Live and learn.

Would you believe I have never had pulled pork in any form? It never sounds appealing and in pictures I always expect it to start wriggling :lol:

I just googled pulled chicken and it looks similar.

pulled pork to me is overly sweet (too much bbq sauce) and coleslaw doesn’t go with hot food. One of my kids is a fan, so we sometimes have it, but it’s really not worth the hassle, and I could happily never eat it again.

I love Giant Tiger.
Peaches, Plums, Nectarines (all beautiful and juicy) less than $2/lb. Bought 6 pounds.
3 lb Navels
Bavarian bread
Kozy shack Tapioca (yuk) $1 :blink:
2 lb Lean ground beef
2 bags mixed frozen veg
2 salmon fillets
4 packs wieners
2 tins spag sauce (for stepson when he wants something quick and easy)
Big shepherd's pie (for when I'm feeling lazy)
and
A Queen comforter/quilt.

$63 total :thumbsup:

That stone fruit and oranges alone in other stores here would be at least $25 instead of the <$12 in GT.

I got in their VIP Club but haven't bought enough yet to get any extra deals out of it. At the store I go to I've had to put my stuff back and bail because lines are too long and not enough cashiers. Some days you can sail through though.

They are not particularly good, it's just nice to get some sausages that are not honey & garlic or Italian.

It's a bit of an odd taste. I like the Italian ones, hot for some things, mild for others. I rarely buy the honey garlic ones.
