Re: The Good Music Thread
Not a video to post, and I know that I will no doubt run the risk of scorn ( including from Snoop who has no taste) but I was doing some photoediting on one monitor and had a YouTube video of Springsteen and the E street band at one of the 2016 performance at Madison Square Garden. The River tour. More than 3 hours on stage...what a performance from a 67 year old and his band. His voice has actually stood the test of time and fans certainly get their money's worth. Amazing.
Compare with say Elton John who whilst he has produced an amazing catalogue of work is vocally and in life a complete parody of his former self -Both on and off stage. He cannot sing a lot of songs as he has lost the range- his songs have got a significantly wider vocal range compared to Springsteen . He has however, as compensation resorted to a horrendous vibrato singing style which is simply dreadful. His skills as pianist are another matter...how the hell can such chubby little fingers play so well? |
