O Canada is nearly as bad a National Anthem as GSTQ. There's a particularly horrible version that CBC plays at 6.00 am on wekkends but today they played this which I thought was pretty good.

It's tempting to stop soon after it starts but give it a go.

Was there ever a more thrilling intro to a gig?

I once saw a band called Goldfinger and they came on stage to the James Bond theme. That was fun too. But the Thunderbirds countdown takes some beating.

Best intro I saw was for a thrash metal band called Acid Reign in the 80s (yes I am that old).
The intro music was Charlie Daniels' "Devil Went Down to Georgia". Played from the start, a lot of confused looking headbangers until the line "...and Devil brought his band of demons and they sounded something like this..."
At which point the band started...
Maybe you had to be there.....

Wonderful!

I'll have to watch that later, as work is perhaps not quite the right environment to enjoy all the musical nuances....
