True. The originals cannot be replaced, they were excellent in their roles.

I am currently watching "Summer of Rockets and "Looming Tower" and would recommend them.

Thanks, I'd completely forgotten the first one, having seen mention of it in the paper.

The Looming Tower is really good. Did you ever see The Newsroom - also with Jeff Daniels?

Just watched the first two episodes of Summer of Rockets. Fantastic stuff.

I don't normally go for historical things, but Stephen Poliakoff written, Keeley Hawes and Timothy Spall involved and the subject matter I was happy to give it a go. Really good and reminds me very much of the earlier BBC series The Hour.

The civil defence exercise with volunteers acting as bomb victims...I remember doing one of those when I was in my single digit years. I got a ride in an ambulance and I remember fake blood make-up on my ear.

If anyone wants a good laugh on ITV or Channel 4 there is show with Bradley Walsh and his son. They are travelling around America and must admit made me laugh a few times.

I enjoyed Newsroom; ages ago (2012), though I think I only ever saw season 1. It's a drama by Aaron Sorkin, who also did "West Wing' and 'American President'. Enjoyable if you are liberal-inclined, I would say. Fast-paced intelligent dialog.

I was a little disappointed by the last part but overall I still liked it.

Did you drink, find a time machine and end up in the 1990's?

It's too easy to assume he's been drinking. There are any number of reasons for posting his appreciation for Beavis and Butthead at 1 in the morning. Time machine isn't going to happen, but just showing up at work drunk and unshaven wearing an AC/DC t-shirt and explaining the cultural significance would probably be hilarious.

Bad Night at The El Royale...is absolutely brilliant in an odd and refreshing fashion. My whole family (including 18 year old normally welded to other social media) watched in vague awe...worth the watch
