I've been enjoying The Bridge so much that I completely forgot to catch up on Sunday night's Killing Eve.
Given the Danish cop is played by an actor also in Killing Eve, I should have been reminded.

One of the joys of discovering a great, but not recent, TV show - or in the case of The Bridge ( Bron/Broen), knowing about it some time ago but only just getting around to watching it - is the knowledge that once you really get into it around the third episode, you know there are 2 or 3 seasons more to follow after the completion of this one.

One of the disappointments is not being able to chat about it, swap theories etc. Or even read something about it for fear of a spoiler.

The series was remade for American TV. I thought they did a good job on remaking Broadchurch (as unnecessary as that was) so I did take a look at some clips of The Bridge remake. It's probably a bit unfair to judge on clips alone but the actress playing the Saga character in the US version just didn't come across in the same way, nor did there seem to be the same relationship between the two cops.

The Swedish woman manages to convey so much with her eyes and facial expressions.

Anyway, I saw an article about the actress in the guardian and took a look. Open for comments, something like the third one down there was a major spoiler about a character. It's into the fourth season now and I don't know if whatever happens is in season 2 - which I'm now on - or 3 or 4. I think the show is good enough for me to enjoy, anyway, but this is going to be at the back of my mind now with this character.

I think the actress who plays Saga does a brilliant job. It is one of the best shows I have ever seen. On BBC 4 right now is second series of a Flemish production "Salamander". I really enjoyed.

You may get it here https://dwatchseries.to/serie/varg_veum

I think there were only 6 or 7 individual stories but worth watching in order because of the development in the relationship between cop and PI. So it's only season 1 in the bottom right corner. It looks like one is missing.

When I google it, one of the results is Netflix but that may be an old result as my Netflix doesn't have it.

There are some on youtube and Veoh but no English subs as far as I can see.

Salamander is really really good. Another show on BBC4 is Montalbano. Just love it.. Quirky in its own way..

Seasons 1-3 on Netflix.

Season 4 on BBC episode 4 of 8 so far. For anyone who can't wait for weekly instalments - like me - see them here, like I just did.

On Netflix watched Evil Genius, talk about a messed up group of people. Well written and presented mini-series documentary, about 4 hours in total over 4 parts.

I just really enjoyed 'Safe' on Netflix, good fun nail biting Harlen Coben set in England with good actors, most enjoyable.

Bristol, have you ever watched The Tunnel? It's practically the same as the Bridge, but set in France and England...guess where - in the Channel Tunnel! - I enjoyed it. I am enjoying the Bridge, which I started because you said it was so good, so, Thank You,

I have been wondering about The Tunnel and whether to give it a go. My old self would assume it to be too inferior but having enjoyed the US remake (Gracepoint) of Broadchurch I'd be more likely to give it a go. It's just that there are so many things lined up for me that a different version would feel like I was repeating and missing something "new"....I mean, I'd love to rewatch The Sopranos but if I did I'd never have found The Bridge and the other Scandi/Nordic stuff.

I love those shots of the ├śresund Bridge. Do you think it might work for an Atlantic Canada remake using the Confederation bridge?
