Watched the first of the new Star Trek. Bit meh if you ask me as the world has moved on. (I must give another plug for The Expanse which sets the bar for sci fi now imho). Plus in the age of iPhones don't communicators look rather quaint and outdated?!

But it wasn't bad for 50 years ago.

Rellik on iPlayer progressing nicely. Even those that haven't liked the backward nature seem to have enjoyed it this week.

The Loch, a UK recent murder series is now showing on CBC and the series Alias Grace (from Margaret Atwood book) begins tomorrow. The other series of Atwood’s book The Handmaid’s Tale I thought was very good and did very well at the recent Emmys.

'The Five' on Netflix. It is brilliant, it got my pulse throbbing, but without gratuitous violence, swearing or anything else that's irritating. An involved plot, well acted with developed characters.

Thank you for this. A somewhat wet Thanksgiving here. Had the dinner yesterday so was looking for something to binge on other than leftovers. This, The Five, just fits the bill. About to begin 3rd.episode. So far it’s very good, as you said. A super cast of well known, often seen, UK actors.

Just started The Midnight Sun. Seen first two parts.

Swedish/French but the Swedes and French that don't understand each other's languages speak English.

Episode one off to a flyer with a couple of bizarre deaths.

May I ask what are you watching it on?

Downloaded from Primewire but if you're just streaming then the following works very well...

A few good ones being watched currently, 'Start up' two series on Amazon Prime, three very different characters (computer programmer, Haitian gang leader and a business man) decide to start a virtual currency, but get scammed out of the money and the code by an unscrupulous business man, so they ry to get everything back.
'Wisdom of the crowd' man starts a computer site to get the public to help look for the killer of his daughter, looking for evidence as he believes the person doing time wasn't guilty.

'Our Girl' starts tomorrow BBC1.

Watching 'The Last Post, 1960's Aden (now Yemen) MPs searching for the rebel leader. Great 60's music being played.

Made a start on Marcella on Netflix. Not bad but plenty of room for improvement.

Watched part one of Saturday's new Gunpowder (Guy Fawkes) mini series on iPlayer.
I'm not one for costume dramas normally but I thought I'd give it a go. A bit like Witchfinder general but Catholicfinder general instead.
