Goggle box- anything worth watching on TV?

Re: Goggle box- anything worth watching on TV?
Escape to the chateau is a bit of a predictable beast. It follows the usual townies upping sticks to the country buying a place which they sometimes need to do up. The moated French chateau in question though I have to say is superficially beautiful and in 12 acres looks a steal for £290k
The problem is, it is falling apart, the participants are a bit irritating in their eccentricities, they cannot speak French and they " have no money" although I wonder how much Channel 4 is subsidising them.
I gather, a four parter, weirdly compelling

I actually think that he is actually more irritating, agreed, not much in it... I'm trying to ignore the pair of them and just try and imagine what I would do with the place.

we watch is cos Batsman likes the crazy colonel and I enjoy being irritated by the floozy Angel. I note that Colonel Dick calls her Angela. I suppose he won't have much money from all those TV shows he's done and his army pension. Hopefully his wife will be getting a fair share of it all
