We Also started "Slow Horses" on AppleTV+. Really enjoying it. Gary Oldman is superb.

The IT Crowd is still being viewed and does bring a laugh or two.
ive just signed up fro Apple TV+ . I am enjoying Ted Lasso but husband hated it. Watching The Morning Show which i think is great but apparently not many agree with me. Thinking about Pachinko.
On Netlfix watched Bubble which is delightfully ridiculous and got several laughs from us. Easy lighthearted viewing.

It's almost as if George Smiley had a son who followed, slightly, in his fathers footsteps, and then fell from grace.

I couldn't get into the remake at all. It should have been right up my street but it didn't work for me.

It can't be that I enjoyed the original too much, having just really enjoyed the new version of The Ipcress File

If you have Apple Tv give Severence a try. It's pretty different and in my opinion worth a watch.

Also on Apple TV+ if you like good old fashioned war movies, "Greyhound" a Tom Hanks vehicle based on the CS Forrester novel "Good Shepherd is to be recommended. Really well done. If you like space / cold war then "For all mankind" an alternate history of the space race and the cold war is good as well. 2 series with a 3rd releasing in the summer.

For wholesome viewing watch "Old Enough" on Netflix. It's Japanese with subtitles. Toddlers are sent on quite complicated errands on their own - apart from several camera operators. Going to the stores, fetching stuff, it's delightful and guaranteed to make you smile

Watched it with my wife who had only very vaguely heard of Jimmy Savile (Canadian born spouse). She'd heard of Top of the Pops, Radio 1 etc and she took one look at him and said 'how could anyone not think this guy was dodgy'. The luring comments he made in interviews should have set off alarm bells. Not to mention the dodgy barnet . So many well connected people were fooled by him. I think in the current era with social media being so dominant he wouldn't last 5 minutes.

i worked at one of the hospitals mentioned and had heard rumours about him from other hospital staff since the 1970s. I found him repellant, the way he is=ued to strut around saying things like "make way, make way, royalty coming," He just assumed he was allowed anywhere. I used to do my best to avoid him but one day he came into an office and sat with me when I was doing some paperwork. He chatted, changed from that loud and gross persona and was quite charming. Whenever I saw him after that he would wave hello and use my name. It's an example of how that charm and showing interest in someone could be persuasive. These days one would hope that noone would be allowed such access but even then it was surprising.

Finished Slow Horses last night. Superb. Loved it. Really happy that there is already a season 2 filmed and season 3 announced. Now I may have to go off and read the books....

The rest of the last Ozark season now available on Netflix.

The last batch took us to episode 7 inc. I was a bit surprised that episode 8 didn't start with a "previously..." but it proved easy enough to pick up.

I was disappointed in the first 7 eps…put me of watching the rest TBH. I find a lot of series go down a similar path. I thought the last series of Yellowstone disappointing.
