Re: Goggle box- anything worth watching on TV?
Above Suspicion, was on demand cable, not bad. I had no idea it was based on a true story until the end however.
About an FBI agent who is relocated to small town Kentucky, gets connected to a local woman who becomes an informant for the FBI agent, they end up having an affair, and well she ends up dead, he ended up in prison for 10 years, and his wife died at 38 in 1998 from organ failure dye to heavy drinking.
FBI agent is Mark Putnam and the woman he killed was Susan Smith.
About 10 months after he killed her, he confessed and pled guilty and was sentenced to 16 years but was released for good behavior in 2000 after 10 years.
They actually filmed the movie in Kentucky as well so it looked more realistic.

I felt that there was some good stuff in there, such as the bonding between Harry and Asta (Harry and Max having bonded in the previous episode) and I'm guessing that it will soon be time to let D'Arcy in.

I don't follow F1 anymore but I've enjoyed previous series of F1 - Drive to Survive. Working my way through S3 which just dropped on Netflix. It's pretty good.

Wow - just discovered 'Unforgotten', available on Amazon Prime in US. Recommended by a UK friend. I thoroughly enjoyed season 1, but was going to pace myself before getting to season 2 as it was a bit depressing (those gritty scenes of UK council estates and struggling people were a bit close to my own upbringing) but ... I started season 2 last night and ended up watching all six episodes in one go! Finished at 5am! Gotta love retirement+covid!
Season 2 was every bit as good as season 1, even better perhaps. I just love the way these old crime investigations uncover 'unpleasant facts' about people who are today leading 'normal', 'respectable' lives. Makes me wonder if things I did 40 years ago could come back to haunt me . Looking forward to watching the next season! The writing / story development is absolutely perfect in my opinion - totally engrossing. And as someone who has hardly spent any time in UK since leaving ~40 years ago, the photography is a delight!

Re: Goggle box- anything worth watching on TV?
I just started watching Season 3; just as good as seasons 1 and 2. Question for those who've seen it AND lived in Bristol (which seems like an unusually large number of people!) ... Are all the shots with 'Chris' - the character who lives in a VW van - shot in Bristol?
I remember a BBC comedy series "Sink or Swim" where they pulled out of a car park at a transport cafe on the edge of Keynsham and appeared to immediately pull onto the Keynsham bypass.
And there was a mini-series with Edward Woodward (Codename: Kyril) filmed in Bristol. One minute they were at Canon's Marsh Bristol and seconds later in a car chase on the streets of London.

I watched the final episode of Line of Duty last night, it was a pretty good ending and answered a lot of questions.
We are starting this tonight, it's an HBO/BBC show, looks pretty good.

Re: Goggle box- anything worth watching on TV?
I was very disappointed in the last ep of LOD. That’s the way many UK TV series tend to end now…several great episodes…then the last one is a damp squid. Have yet to watch Viewpoint…hopefully that has a good ending.

Of course the other part of this is that cliffhanger ending a couple of episodes ago was so ....er cliffhanging that any episode ending was always likely to be an anti-climax in comparison.
I'm reading a few people who thought disappointing last night have woken up today with a much more favourable reaction.
I had something similar when I first saw 2001: A Space Odyssey
