I can now agree with others. I'm halfway through the 6-part series The Loch and it's quite like Hinterland and Shetland.
Gorgeous scenery too.

Queen of the South on Netflix. Started Season 1 on Saturday night, watched 8 eps so far. There are 4 seasons of 13 eps each. I thought it was a bit lame to begin with but I am enjoying it now.

Started watching Deadwind. Not as many beautiful scenic shots as other shows of it's ilk It's a bit slow going, but pretty good. Have had a couple of moments where it felt as though scenes had been cut, or perhaps it's just slightly off translations in the subtitles.

looks interesting. Is it in English or is it subtitled? I cannot watch programs/films that are not in English.

It's a Finnish show, and I watch it with the Finnish audio and english subtitles. Looks like there is no english audio for it

Yay...season 2 is on there. Have you just started 1 or 2? I enjoyed S1 and thought it was 'up there' with the others. Not that I remember anything about it.

We just finished Season 2 and it was probably 2 years or more since we watched Season 1 so I forgot lots. Lots of twists and turns and red herrings.

Bloody hell, time flies. According to earlier in this thread it was August 2018 when I saw it. I'd have guessed late last year

We have just finished episode 9 of season 1, so we're close to the end of season 1, and we'll jump right into season 2 when we have finished up.

I finally wrapped up "Man in the High Castle" last night (Amazon Prime). I have to say, it finally redeemed itself in the end, but it was a long slog!

'Marcella' season 3 just dropped on Netflix, so far so good.

Thinking about subscribing to Amazon Prime. (With the free 30 day trial)

Is it recommended?

Reason being I want to watch a historical drama from 1997 called ‘The Grand‘ about a hotel in Manchester just after WW1 and it doesn’t seem to be available anywhere else.

I use it along with Netflix, Acorn, BritBox etc. You have 30 days free trial...try it.
