Have you seen Wentworth?

Finished Season 2 of ‘Anne with an E’ took me a couple of episodes to get into it. Didn’t like the whole gold digging con and the characters but I kind of feel that that they may come back next season as it was left very open ended. It is being renewed for a third season!

its a real feel good show although sometimes the character of Anne is a bit too much, the way she talks and is enthusiastic about everything.

i love the scenery, houses, costumes and the wildlife. I love Geraldine James - she’s an amazing actress!

in other news, I’m slowly losing the will to live with Handmaids Tale season 3 - how much darker is this going to get. I’ve heard they want to make 10 seasons of this???

I thought it was bloody amazing...the whole of the Russian revolution could probably been avoided had someone given Nicholas a good slap. Riveting though...I must have dozed off in history, I certainly couldn’t remember Russia going to war with Japan. The footage of these events has been gobsmacking. A great, and terrifying, watch. It makes history so accessible real.

I too am just starting Stranger Things.

A few years back when my son was younger, I would watch The Tudors, which I had bought and he would pop in and say ‘oh you are watching your Maman history programme and disappear! My husband...who seldom stays still enough to watch anything...would pop in and say “what the bloody hell are you watching, some sort of soft porn”?

Yes I really do think that these programmes can bring history to life in a way that makes it more acceptable for a greater audience...it makes me understand it far better.

I want to try Charite this week...I was up last night till the small hours with Black Spot (Zone Blanche) and I’m unsure if it’s terribly good or terribly bad...but I really can’t put it down...
