Globespan

I don't know if any of you have flights booked with this outfit....but I would watch the news if I were you. Bit of an issue in Vancouver, Glasgow bound passengers are stranded.

Echoes of Canada 3000 if you ask me.

Sorry - will try and find another link, but basically the passengers should have boarded last night, were left in the terminal until today - boarded the plane, taxied across the tarmac and then were returned to the gate. They were ordered off the plane, ferried into a hotel and left. No information - nothing. My mate works at YVR and reckons that Globespan may be in trouble....

Try this - it may work, no idea why the other one isn't.

Oh no, this is not good. I have rellies booked on Globespan for July, coming from the UK. I was a bit dubious when they told me who they'd booked with as I never use the charter airlines myself, this is a good reason why.

Heard some bad things about Globespan so this news doesn't surprise me.

This link to Skytrax customer reviews says it all really.

Just wanted to say that I think that they are ok financially they are just a really bad airline!
ive known 3 ppl fly this outfit in the last 2 weeks, all were delayed by 4+ hours.
If anyone has ppl flying on this airline i would book the day after returning off work, Celineuk was due to land at 4pm, he is still in the air and its now 9.41pm estimated time of arrival 11pm!!!

Well then, trying to put a positive slant on this, my relatives are scheduled to arrive at the height of rush hour in Vancouver, so 4 hours late will be a plus. Gulp!

Aww, crap, I'm scheduled to fly with them in October. Should I risk booking my accommodation yet?
