Indeed; and why not me?

(only very slightly miffed at the usual xmas gifts and thank you cards for the doctors and nurses, the only people in a hospital seemingly) Seriously sometimes I wonder what would happen if you could send a "well thanks for nothing" card to the sender of the above - maybe stating that next time they come into the hospital they can bloody well Xray and anaesthetise themselves (along with all the other people that play a part that no-one else thinks of) |

mmm the ones that get all the thanks because obviously they are the only ones that work there.

Out of sight, out of mind and all that. |

I've lost count of the times I've been asked if I had to do a little course after the nursing exams to be able to take x-rays. |

Are there any Canadian born and bred folk who can comment on this? I have always given the dustman something at Christmas, both here and in the UK.
I gave the bloke a $10 Timmies card this morning and asked him to ignore my grass clippings in the bin next summer. He smiled and seemed appreciative, but to this day I have never seen or heard anyone else giving anything. Is this a British trait? |

I always gave the dustmen and the postman a tip when I lived in a house in NA, I now only give a tip to the postman as I live in a condo. Although I think it depends if you live in a smaller community. As my nan said, 'tip accordingly to those who can inflict the most damage.'

It's like cow tipping, only with a garbage man. You sneakily sit and wait near your dustbin during the dark mornings and when he's within reach you jump out, shove him over, and run away giggling.
