Thanks for the defence, not2old, but I fear you're living dangerously! Where PC rules, what sanctuary is there? Witness the latest movement in some US colleges to make pronouns gender-neutral. Instead of "he" and "she", they must use "ze". It seems a little excessive, to me - no offence intended to anybody who doesn't agree. What do you reckon?

I just heard about that, but it was in relation to U of T. What's the PC term for absolute bollox, perhaps I can use it.

Guy Ritchie the film director must have known something about this in 2001 when he directed the film Snatch.
Jason Statham who played Turkish was seen to be asking his friend Tommy if he had something against ZE GERMAN'S.

gender equality... lets take it close to home

The owner operator of BE I believe is a female, most of the moderators are also female?

Is that justice, equality or just the way the cooky crumble?

I just Googled the words gender-neutral pronouns promotion in colleges
and found a whole slew of institutions of learning that are into the b*ll*x. Check it out; you'll be surprised. It's a sign of the times, I'm afraid.

The "owner operator" of BE is Internet Brands. A corporation in California. The founders of BE were a married couple, Sue and Paul. As for the most of the mods being female, I'm not sure that's accurate. There are plenty of male mods out there. It might simply be that you notice the female ones more since you mainly post in the Canada forum.

gender nuetral equality

I'm sure someone has a reasonable reply to the following?

- In an all female correctional institution, why not have 100% male corrections staff or an equal number of both male & female?

- In an all male correctional institutions why not have 100% female corrections staff or an equal number of both male & female?

- Why isn't there 100% mixed integration of male & females encarcerated in a correctional institution, sharing everything while under lock & key?

Does it always have to be separate gender prisons?

In the US there are segregated by race corrections facilities .... all of that is just not right

- Should there be gender neutral bathrooms/washrooms, changing rooms, showers...?

- Why aren't there Adult males & female equally in numbers (all together now) playing on a professional sports team - Hockey, Baseball, Basketball, Cricket, Rugby, Soccer, American style football, Cage fighting, Boxing, Wrestling .....

- Looks like that there will never be 100% equality in numbers & pay in all professions, trades, HGV, Transit....

- That for anyone that opens doors, gives up their seat on a transit ride - why is it not all equal, why don't females give up their seat to a male?

- Why is it some fellas pull out chairs or open doors for females & not the other way round - where is the equality?

- Why do females wear make up to a greater degree than males, something is not right

Are there more 'gender inequalities'?

.

You are of course free to wear it. You're not forced to, nor are you, in a work situation, forced to dress in revealing clothing or anything that accentuates your protuberances.

Or are you one of the chippendales?
