Anyway, crude is down to $97 after falling as low as $94 earlier in the day... Brent crude is down to $92.

As I understand it, the problem is that there's plenty of oil, but not much gasoline... due to increased demand from people filling up before the hurricane hit and reduced supply as some refineries were affected by the hurricane.

Yes, so I was reading. Although I must say I don't really have the command of the way the oil companies play .

We arrived in Saskatoon this time last year and the gas was $0.99 roll on those times .

Yep there was mass panic in Calgary last Thursday and Friday, people buying tankfuls just in case Ike came up this far.

Not bloody likely, more like oil companies cashing in on a good thing. :curse::curse:

We are only a small community on the side of Last Mountain Lake but we have two gas stations an Esso and a Tempo. Our Esso puts the price up immediately but also reduces their price immediatly. Our Tempo doesn't hike the price until she gets a new delivery but also does not put her price down until she gets a new delivery. It was interesting watching the cars queue a the Tempo last week, they'll be the same people queuing a the Esso when it hopefully goes back down. phew I hope that made sense, it did to me

Refining capacity is still down 3 million barrels per day due to electrical outages along the Texas coast.

Do what I did -- I saved 50 miles of driving by calling in sick to work!

You should have given me a shout. Yeah the hut was open for a few weeks in the summer, a family from Alberta rented it for a while but it's in a pretty bad state from what I've been told.
