Hmmm, I knew your autumns arrived a bit later than ours, but do you still have to mow your lawns in November? :p

Re: Gas lawn mower

Last week I went into Canadian tired and got 2 bottles of lawn mower gas for $3.40 each, It was the last cut otherwise the guy said I would have needed 89 bottles to cover the summer. He's put down my order for 90 to be delivered next March. Luckily I have a large garage so I got 23 cents off each bottle for bulk buy.

My mower trailer is a 'Farger Blue' which can hold 4 bottles centre side, the half inch tube pushes 3 centrafugals at 1 cass per second so it's pretty good for uphill grass cutting. Mower cost me $3000 at Costco.

Oh by the way, never use level 3 propane, it causes myopic soap and can dilute the eyes.

Neighbour (7 kilometres away) put a block heater in his garage along with 35,000 bottles of lawn mower gas. Well, he's no longer anyone's neighbour and the explosion could be heard in Cornwall, and I don't mean the one in Ontario.

I gave mine a short back and sides this weekend. Hopefully it will be the last of the year.

Anyway, you guys are crazy buying lawn mower gas from Canadian Tire. Don't you have a BBQ outlet on your deck you can use?

I find it's not that good, the long gas hose trailing around the garden is worse than the electric cord I used to have in England when I used the Flymo. Mow over that baby and you'll know it! There's a bylaw around here which states "All gas powered yard mowers must have a flange cord fitted to prevent unwanted gas escapes into the air. This can sometimes cause drowsiness among nearby pregnant fish". Flange cord's are $138 at Home Depot. So I stick to the mobile bottles.
