Frost Is No More

On Sunday and Monday I watched the final episodes of this, IMHO, one of the great British TV Crime dramas. I've seen every one since inception and many episodes more than once. I am going to miss it.

Me too. In my case, at least, maybe an older person thing.

All we need to do now is get rid of Doc Martin and that's two psychopaths off the TV. Only joking, for most part it was quite entertaining and at least different.

I think when you live abroad it is often just as interesting watching the background scenery where some of these series' are filmed. Some parts of Frost are filmed in Leeds, my home town, and I recognise some of the areas, usually the rough parts.

Maybe it will be like "The Who" (one of many) farewell concerts where they keep dragging him back. Looks like he croaked in one of them:

Fools and Horses was hilarious, maybe paled a little towards then end but then they all do don't they?

But David Jason, nah, makes my skin crawl.

I don't know. OF&H is a great show, as was danger mouse. Can't think of anything else he's been in that I've liked though.

OF&H was classic:thumbsup: for me, one of the best(there have been a few) British comedies.

I can understand that but they gave their first farewell tour in 1982. Almost 30 years of farewell tours is pushing it by anyone's standards.

I was a fan of Touch of Frost too Auld Yin, was one of the best detective shows. David Jason played his part well. I was not able to view the last two series of it, I had just moved to new place and missed them. Think I will see if I can buy them on DVD, must be on the 'net somewhere!

I notice you live in Barrie, Ontario. The final episode to be made was showed on TVO, which I'm sure is available to you, on Sunday and Monday of this week. You should keep your eye on the channel's scheduling as it will probably be on again.

Thank you Auld Yin, I had not thought of that, you are right, TVO usually does repeat shows, will be checking it here.

I loved frost, we have downloaded the final three episodes so I am to watch them when I have time. An end of an era, same too with Morse ( and I thought the Sweeny was great too) the oldies are just all going now:(
