Ford on Kimmel

Rob Ford was on the Jimmy Kimmel show last night. I stayed up to watch and thought he was great, stood his corner and answered as truthfully as he was able too. Very funny in parts, I see no issues with his interview and he did not slag off any other politicians.

Best part was comparing pics of Ford and pics of LA's Mayor, out n about.

He's the most interesting Canadian politician ever invented. People in Toronto should be hailing him as a hero not slagging him off. Its the first time that anyone's found anything remotely interesting or newsworthy about the country.

People do hail him as a hero for making Toronto internationally known, I'm confident that he'll be easily re-elected.

I'd like to see a similarly colourful character here in Vancouver. Unfortunately, I suspect that instead promoting business, getting rid of bike lanes and cleaning out the hobos, only colour a Vancouver mayor would be celebrated for would be their promotion of green smoke

Since you never seem to have anything good to say about Canada why are you still here? Why don't you just up and leave?

Is this just another example of cultural insecurity that'd make you focus on a tiny aspect of an otherwise positive post about Mayor Ford?

Allegedly?

Didn't think it was even allegedly any more, the police investigated and found inconsistencies in wifes story. Police dropped it.

He's a big bloke, I'd have thought if he was beating her there'd be zero doubt about it.

I'm sure there were inconsistencies in her story if she was scared. it's classic for abused women.

I would vote for him if I lived in Toronto (..and was able to vote in Canada!). Would prefer to have him as a Mayor than some stuck up privately educated toff.

Doesn't alter the fact that Vancouver needs someone like Rob Ford, (obviously without the wife beating) to sort out the city. Stop wasting taxpayers money supporting drug addicts, [I realize the irony), remove all the bike lanes that are suffocating the city and build a nice casino complex that'd bring in tax revenue and produce employment.

I love the bike lanes.

They'll come in really useful for when half the city has to bike down to the unemployment office to pick up their cheques. While lovely in principle its a case of ideology suffocating the reality of economics.
