At it's peak it was falling at the equivalent of 140mm per hour.

Thankfully I'm warm and dry. A lot of work colleagues still with out power.

Just watching Lac-Megantic on the news. This is nothing. I feel much worse for them.

Got it up here north of Guelph but no flooding. All that farmland to disperse over.

That always bothered me about Toronto, that when it rains the sewage goes directly into the lake. When the kids were small and had a pony we'd walk down to the end of the street and try to spot their ones bobbing around. Then we'd see people swimming, ugh!

Same thing happens out west, but Vancouver is working on it. Not sure if other city's are or not, but its pretty common in many places.

I flew in to Pearson last night. It was not fun, doing laps of the airport in the air for a long time as they totally closed it. At one point the captain was talking of diverting us to Buffalo. When we landed another long wait on the tarmac as there were no gates available. My finace came from Oshawa to get me and it took her 5 hours on the 401.

Note the term "Hill". If there's any pumping to do, I have a spare son cached there for such things.
