106 mm of rain in 1 hour. Now that's guna course a few problems. More to come later tonight.

Re: Flash Storm in Toronto
My daughter has been stuck on the 427/401 for several hours. Our condo building on Queen's Quay W has lost power and the underground garage is badly flooded. Thank goodness we left Toronto yesterday to drive back to New Jersey...because our parking space is badly flooded. No power = no elevators...I don't think I could walk up all the stairs to the top of our condo building.
Front and Simcoe are badly flooded with sewerage...amongst the water. Goodness knows what time she will get home tonight...or tomorrow. |
Re: Flash Storm in Toronto
427 is bad, I saw pics of it, no one hurt just stranded vehicles and waist high water, that is on a 400 Highway.....Crazy nuts ehh !!!

Yeah...she said the water is up to the top of the tyres of some of the cars in the outside lanes. I don't think she's moved for hours...when she does she has to get to Queen's Quay...so she has quite a journey.

Yes. Worrisome that things can get so bad, so quickly due to rain. Thought it was only the US that couldn't cope with things like that. :D

They sent boats out to the Richmond Hill bound GOtanic train, as it looks like its about to sink
They just set up a zip line out of the train now |
