Fish and Chips in Toronto

Re: Fish and Chips in Toronto
The fish is generally pretty good everywhere. Finding proper chips is almost impossible. I spent several years looking and abandoned the project.
My friend Scottish Joe (from Scotland) tells me that this place in Scarborough is the best in this part of the world. Don't let the golf course photos fool you it is in Canada:

Thanks very much to all for the tips.
I think that I have 2 projects on the go now, my search for the best beer, and there is a lot of competition; and now my search for the best fish and if possible, chips. Too many places served skinny French Fries.
Stay safe

Damn, I want fish and chips now, and I've already started cooking chicken for dinner.

I made the mistake of reading this thread while moderately hungry and am now famished!
Especially silly as I knew full well that the best I can rustle up in the house at the moment is a hot cross bun

They also have a place in Scarberia on Kingston Road where I always get takeout from. They're both pretty basic to eat in.
In Brampton Heritage at 410 and queen is equally good.
Both better than anything I've had in Blighty forever, though that may be partially due to being a Londoner where the idea of good fish and chips went many years ago.

A bit late to the conversation but Sea Witch (St Clair/Bathurst) is my local go to.
