cabbage, cauliflower, Brussels sprouts and carrots have also been significantly affected. 57 blueberry farms will apparently have to rip out all their plants and replant. More atmospheric rivers more problems.
Sumas, Washington reporting they expect some flooding between this afternoon and into tomorrow morning from the Nooksack, it's still expected to go over somepoint today, but looks like it's not forecast to be as bad as originally thought, they will sound the flood siren when time comes to evacuate. https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/briti...v-28-1.6265803 |

Highway 1 between Abbotsford and Chilliwack was closed at 5pm from Exit 90 to Exit 109 due to threat of flooding.

I only saw a news item a couple of weeks ago that this was the first time a saffron crop had been successful in Canada. It was time to harvest the stamens from the flowers :( |
