A petition which was open to anyone, anywhere, to sign. Hilarious.

I suspect that if you ask whether the UK WILL leave the EU, the overwhelming response will be yes.
If however you ask whether YOU'D LIKE the UK to leave the EU the answer will be less clear and very likely mirror the referendum result. Some will argue that since the referendum some leavers now think remain and some will argue that some remainers now think leave, who knows what the true position is, but a one sided petition isn't evidence of anything other than sour grapes.
In response to the petition, May's government responded thus "This Government will not revoke Article 50. We will honour the result of the 2016 referendum and work with Parliament to deliver a deal that ensures we leave the European Union." demonstrating an unwillingness to be bullied. If she had shown the same face to an intransigent EU then perhaps she might not have needed to resign.

So the 'Leave' share of the vote seems to be growing since February...

It really depends whose poll of polls you use and whether you're prepared to show data that disagrees with your point of view.
https://whatukthinks.org/eu/question...he-referendum/
This is another poll of polls and it's latest (17 May 2019) shows Leave 48%, Remain 47%.
You pays your money.... but it isn't as clear as you would have us believe.

Well if I were to nitpick I'd say that the potential for having to watch as the dummies vote on the failed agreement for the tenth time has become slightly less probable, so that must be a good thing.

There are often times when I am sincerely happy not to be in Britain (Gregโ€™s Bakeries not being one of them) but this has been a bloody mess from start to...hopefully finish...and Ms. May has not covered herself in glory, Why has she not felt that she should have done the honourable thing WELL before now without tears!

God Save My Country from Boris

No deal better than a bad deal. I'm sure we all recall that statement. All that has been on offer to date from the EU...and promoted by May was a bad deal.....so bye, bye EU....amen!

On an ironic and somewhat tongue in cheek note, our PM will be in No 10 to celebrate D Day when we invaded Europe, but 'ain't hanging around whilst we try to get the hell out of it....๐Ÿ™‚๐Ÿ™‚

Considering the disarray the tories have been in Corbyn's prevarication has been most disappointing. If this is the shove British politics needs to get past the two party system, with hwovere has the mostplausible leader winning, there may well be a silver lining.

My money's on Raab.

Brexit is a Conservative party thing to try and keep seats from UKIP.

The Conservatives will fall at the next election if Labour promise a second referendum or run with a mandate of revoking article 50.

Brexit will then be killed having followed due process.

The debate can then be on whether having politicians spend 4 years debating Brexit has helped or hindered the country. Perhaps keeping them out of other affairs was a positive thing.

I often say that if you give a problem to a politician to solve you'd do better giving it to a monkey, at least a monkey'd get it right 50% of the time.
In this instance the UK parliament, an august body comprised of politicians, was given a problem by their constituents. 'Leave the EU!'
So what did this collection of ne'er do wells and spineless leaches do with this clear instruction from the people?
They buckled at the enormity of the task before them and excused this by betraying those who paid their inflated bills. Many ignored the task before them and the others simply floundered around when faced with a professional adversary that was the EU.
Eventually, once sufficient time had been wasted and the scale of the capitulation became apparent even to those who sought sanctuary in the back benches, a new question arose deep down in the UK House mentality. Sell out the cause and kick the can down the road and save ourselves or simply do our job?
Well, no contest there.
Queue the monkey.. or shall we call him or her the next PM.
