So.. this begs an important question for all the Ex-Pat English folk...

Will you be rooting for your new home nation, Canada, or for your original home nation, England?

Tough call, but for me it's gotta be England. Although it does mean that if England lose, at least there's the silver lining of Canada winning.

Personally I think it'll be a tedious 0-0 draw. Maybe 1-0 either way. I think England slightly edge it, but not by much. Two teams with good defences, and disjointed attacks.

Will depend on whether Sinclair decides to finally turn up to this World Cup. Otherwise the win could go England's way.

Good defence isn't something I'd associate with England. In the first game they had the ball taken off them with the regularity of the men's team.

I didn't see the last game but I watched highlights. See how the defence was wide open in this clip and then how they contrived to set up a great chance for Norway 28 seconds into this clip.

Rooting for Canada to win this one, 1-0 is my guess

It can't be a draw, some one has to win either in 90 mins, extra time or on penalties

I want England but as said before it's a win win situation for expats. Who ever wins this game I will want to win the whole thing

They were playing France, one of the best teams in the competition. Yet only conceded one goal, and that was a potshot from distance that only came about from one individual mistake giving the ball away. Only conceding 1 goal against a team who have scored 9 in their past 2 games, is pretty damn good if you ask me.

Also, England have only conceded 4 goals in 4 games. 2 of which came at the very end of the Mexico/Colombia games, where they switched off a bit. Also, they conceded only 1 against a team who destroyed France 3-0.

All in all, pretty good, I'd say. But maybe I'm being too generous.

And Canada have only conceded 1 all tournament. Although, granted, you didn't contest that.

Just to be pedantic... if the game finishes 0-0, and a team wins on penalties, it's still a 0-0 draw. Not like hockey where that add an extra goal to the team who wins in a shootout. I was implying the game would finish 0-0 and go to penalties.

England or Canada will struggle against Japan, IMO. Canada's defence, assuming they drop Sesselmann, who has been a liability, should be good, though, so I think they have a better chance of beating Japan than England, who seem to rely a lot more on heart and not giving up than they do anything else.

It's still a win or lose game, period

Unless Canada can start scoring more goals, they will not be in it for much longer
