The Magic Roundabout!! Magic Roundabout website
Created by the French author Serge Danot in 1965, the Le Manège Enchanté (The Horse-gear Magic) had over 500 episodes made between 1963 and 1967.
Manège means "riding school" and the word has been taken over as the word for kiddies roundabouts (with horses then, but now with whatever), . "Horse-Gear Magic" is an 'orrible translation.

Being the romantic that I am I would love to be the heroin in "These Old Shades" by Georgette Heyer.
I would also like to be the Therapist in "Dibs in Search of Self " by Virginia M Axline
Or Bones in any of the Kathy Reichs books, preferrably in the TV series cos then I get to play with and Angel
