Expensive Kids Sports

Re: Expensive Kids Sports
My Daughter does 'Cheer' which is an indoor sport with no pom poms. It costs me about $1,700 for the tuition (2x 1.5hr classes a week).
Lots of other expenses on top of that but nowhere near to $15k

Re: Expensive Kids Sports
The tuition or yearly fees 2k
Twice weekly private lessons at 50 a pop to get ready for competitions= another 1k
Cheer uniforms , club jackets and training outfits over 1k
Niagara falls trip for Nationals 2 flights = 1.6k
5 nights in a hotel = just short of 1k
5 days brekkie lunch and supper for 2 at roughly 200 a day = 1k
Wife getting half cut every day of those 5 = a lot
Registration , cheer souvenirs , taxis all over the place , outlet malls, = a lot
The coaches trips are paid by the kids parents as well
Same again for Mississauga 3 weeks later - 15k maybe a slight exaggeration but not much of one

You do know that the only reason anybody invests in this stuff is to try and procure a university scholarship in the US?
