Sigh...Where's Wiki....Arrr yes.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Existentialism

Existentialism is a term that has been applied to the work of a number of nineteenth and twentieth century philosophers who, despite profound doctrinal differences,[1][2] took the human subject — not merely the thinking subject, but the acting, feeling, living human individual[3][4] and his or her conditions of existence (e.g. death, loneliness)— as a starting point for philosophical thought. Existential philosophy is the "explicit conceptual manifestation of an existential attitude"[5] that begins with a sense of disorientation and confusion in the face of an apparently meaningless or absurd world.[6][7] Many existentialists have also regarded traditional systematic or academic philosophy, in both style and content, as too abstract and remote from concrete human experience.

Your nan should probably avoid going for solitary walks in the middle of forests.

Dunno, lets have a big pointless fight with samarui swords. That should relieve the monotony of our meaningless insignificant existence.

Each to his own and all that, but I think that contravenes Rule 2. :sneaky:

What was rule 2 again? "No meaningless acts of self destruction shall be used by posters to ease the ennui their futile lives". No, it's something about racism and porn, so it doesn't

No seriously it does

2. There may be places where sexually explicit, racist, obscene or vulgar language, graphics or behavior is appropriate however BritishExpats.com is NOT one of them. We do not alllow graphics that contain nude body parts, sexually-orientated or violent acts. Should anyone use inappropriate language, start a personal attack, or engage in hate speech, they will be barred from all further discussions.

2 points

- I don't see no graphics in my post.
- Being nihilistic, it was an impersonal attack (well more of a request really)

-I didnt underline the word graphic
-striking someone with a samurai sword could be deemed as extremely personal

- You highlighted "violent acts". That phrase was used in a sentence about graphics depicting them.
- If you are a nihilist you'd be doing it just to pass some time before you died. It can't be a personal attack as the very word 'attack' implicitly recognizes the validity of a moral framework.
