End of the world in 2012 according to some barmy Dutch people.
Petra Faile [a lovely and well-educated Dutch lady] and her husband have bought a life raft and other survival equipment in preparation for Armageddon. "They keep letting people in. And then we have to build more houses, which makes the Netherlands even heavier. The country will sink even lower, which will make the flooding worse."

They could always let in the skinny ones, say from the hungry parts of Africa, and keep out the heavy American and Canadian tourists.

They can't afford to - NZ is nearly falling off the bottom of the world as it is. Any more fat people and it'll slide down to Antarctica.
