Hi, I am looking for someone that could look after my Cocker Spaniel for the above dates. I am looking for him to come to your home, he will have his basket and food. He is 15 years old, so he is no trouble, he will sleep most of the time. If anyone could help that would be great.

I'd like to help, but our dog doesn't take kindly to sharing his home with other mutts. We've kept dogs overnight sometimes but it's never been a great experience. Wish I could help more, this may be useful.

January is a pretty busy month for pet sitting in Edmonton however, so you might need to look around a bit. Diane's Doggie Den 780 430-6914 is supposed to be great, and there is also Michelle's Pet Sitting Services.

As you say January is a busy month and I should think most kennels are well booked - probably why the OP has posted this request, I wanted to give him an option

As for putting dogs in kennels - why would you feel crap using them? If you find a good one then you know your dog is in safe hands and will be well looked after.

Some elderly dogs do not do well in kennels ...... hope you come up with a good place soon
