Beware of getting collared with extortionate customs and duty charges though.

I get some great deals from www.sendit.com. Never paid duty on them, maybe because they charge and send them over individually. They are only valued a few pounds each. I even get some box sets for less than 15 quid. I get all my comedy/drama DVDs mailed over.

I use www.cdwow.com for music and DVDs, free postage and packing world wide and have never paid any duty on them. Great offers sometimes.

Because some people would like to be able to watch films that are less than 25 years old, something that Netflix doesn't appear to allow:D

What a load of twaddle, then whatch Pay per View costs a tad more but well up to date, or rent and buy from Blockbuster, still cheaper than waiting months for the post to bring some thing...

OK, maybe, just maybe, Canadian blockbusters do not stock British DVDs (TV Shows, Comedies etc.)

Each to their own, of course.:D

I've used sendit for a while and they are good. Only time I had a problem is when I ordered the complete Babylon 5 collection. Waited more than a month and it had not shown up, usually took about two weeks for things to come. Seems it was too big (ie; costly) for them to ship here so they'd cancelled the order. Would have been nice if they had told me!
That's the only problem I've had with them, and I've purchased quite a bit from them.

Will check out cdwow, have a feeling that I've used them in the past too.

If you were naughty and into the torrent thing, you could look at thebox.bz as I'm sure UK tv shows appear there ;)

Just watched "Cellular".....on Netflix...a 2004 AD vintage offering....

Had my 8 bucks worth this month...3-4 movies....

I was not sure if I would turn out to be a Netflix Knocker....all things considered viewing is better than 2010 BN (Before-Netflix).....and of course Expatshield....

Now watching "The World's Fastest Indian"......2005.....

Cellular by the way was worth a watch.....

Thats it for now, its time to go ;)

Because the DVDs were ones I couldn't get over here, and as it cost nothing to send it over, why not!

I don't know about you but if it is a film I have really enjoyed I like to watch it more than once, and as the tv over here is such crap we have watched several of them more than once or twice.

1. The films/shows may be unique to the UK.
2. Even if UK shows are available the prices are horrendous eg Red Dwarf Amazon canada $219.99 (marketplace $132.68), Amazon UK GBP22.47 (= CAD$36.00)
