Duty free limits

Does anyone know what the duty free limits are for bringing stuff into Canada.
I seem to remember it's 1.1 litres of alcohol but maybe it's changed?
How strict are they too with things like chocolate and biscuits?
I know you can't bring in fruit, cheese etc but would Bovril and Bisto be okay?
I know they are pretty strict, and last time I went via Montreal we had the lady with the beagle walk round sniffing at our bags
Don't want to pack stuff and find I have to throw it away
when we get there:lol:

I can't remember but it is on their web site, google it.

Chocolate & biscuits are fine.

I know you can't bring in fruit, cheese etc but would Bovril and Bisto be okay?
If it contains meat of any kind its not allowed at all, check the ingredients.

The beagles are good, very good.

Just checked the carton - no beef in bisto :blink: Take some in your case and pack a few more in your container.

If you like English mustard then pack that too.

If you are landing in Canada and have to take another flight within Canada eg land at Toronto and continue onto Halifax then you will have to open your suitcases in Toronto and re-pack your duty-free liquids as they are not allowed to be hand carried on any plane due to the current security restrictions. You wouldn't want your purchases to be confiscated :eek:
