British Expats - Driving in the snow

It was a bit of a down day yesterday.
We got some new photos of our baby grandson and these can go either way. Some days I can look at them and just really smile or like yesterday I can just cry my heart out at them.
I so want to make it work here and mostly am happy. It just doesnt take a lot to make me wonder if I have done the right thing.
Today I feel more positive again and can plan for our move in 10 days to our new house.
Mine is an older Hyundai Jericho. The heater works well after about 10 minutes:rofl:

When I first spun out in my old beater (old Isuzu Rodeo!) I thought I would roll, so then I went out and played in it, and you get a feel as to what to do, where to steer when you lock up and the fact that it isn't going to roll.

Eventually you can have fun going sideways :thumbup:

The thing I can't get over is driving in the dark after the deer incident, even in the truck I get cold sweats if I go 80kph at night which is met by the comment "you can speed up you know, i'd like to get home?" and the normal reply "f**k off and walk then" ;)
